Community Leaders in Akamkpa Charged to Foster Peace and Security in C’River

Community leaders in Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State have been called upon to take responsibility for promoting peaceful coexistence among residents in the region. This charge was issued during a Peace and Security Tour meeting organized by the State Security Adviser South, Commander Patrick Odiong which held on Monday at the council secretariate NEGROIDHAVEN has garnered.

Commander Odiong underscored the prevalence of crime in the area and unveiled the state government’s initiatives to collaborate with local leaders in the fight against crime and criminal activities.

Meanwhile, CSP Akpan, the Police DPO of the community, appealed to the state government for a functioning patrol van and adequate communication equipment to enhance security surveillance in the state. He also urged community leaders to cooperate by providing valuable information whenever they detect suspicious movements.

These efforts aim to enhance peace and security in Akamkpa and its surroundings.
