…Business Owner, Praise Omori, Meets with State CID Over Damaged Property Dispute

 

Calabar, Cross River – Praise Omori, the business owner who recently had his premises demolished, found himself meeting with the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) due to the dispute involving the damage to his property. This development comes shortly after his business premises were alledgedly demolished by Philip Obin an aide to former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo NEGROIDHAVEN can report.

The encounter at the CID office in Calabar appeared not to be too serious, with Praise Omori noting that Philip Obin was arrested by the state Criminal Investigation Department, CID after an hour of waiting at his business location. He, in turn, met with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) at the CID office.

During the meeting, both parties were asked to provide their accounts of the incident. Omori presented his version of the events, emphasizing that Obin had allegedly maliciously damaged his property. Obin, on the other hand, claimed that he was not present when the damage occurred, as he was in Abuja at the time. He further mentioned that he had previously experienced theft of building materials, and on the night of the incident, the gatekeeper was absent.

In the course of the meeting, Obin was requested to write a statement, with the understanding that both parties would be invited back later in the week. Omori, meanwhile, was instructed to bring along eyewitnesses to the next meeting.

At least one eyewitness had already visited the station on the previous Friday to provide their account of the events that transpired on the night in question.

The dispute between Praise Omori and Philip Obin has now entered a new phase, with law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation process.
