Constitutionally, Rt Hon Orok Otu Duke was appointed by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. His name was sent to the Nigerian Senate to be screened and confirmed.
The Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC is Duke’s primary area of assignment according to oath of allegiance as it is enshrined in the NDDC Acts which he swore to uphold.
I have written several articles in support of Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong Jr before, during and after his senatorial election, to a point of stepping on toes.
I challenge Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong and his gullible followers to show evidence of money I collected from him before taking those drastic measures in supporting him.
Let me state here unequivocally clear that Senator Asuquo Ekpeyong Jr was not elected to represent us at the NDDC BOARD. He was elected to make laws and give us effective representation at the National Assembly. Whatever ambition he has, he should put it behind and focus on how to deliver on the mandate entrusted on him by the good people of southern senatorial district.
We are yet to see one cogent Bill in the floor of the National Assembly sponsored by him.
However, a well verified and authenticated article like what I dropped some hours ago deserves wider publicity hence people sharing it on different platforms. Such wider publicity should not be annexed to Rt Hon Orok Otu Duke, Representing Cross River State in NDDC Board.
