…APC Legacy Group Disassociates Itself from Statement on C/River APC Affairs

Calabar -In a swift response to recent statements attributed to Comrade Iso Bassey Edim concerning internal matters within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Calabar Municipality, Barrister Eyo Nsa Ekpo, the state chairman of the APC Legacy Group, clarified the group’s stance, distancing itself from Edim’s remarks NEGROIDHAVEN can report.

Barrister Ekpo affirmed that while discussions on the state of affairs within the APC in Calabar Municipality were valid, the statement issued by Comrade Edim was not on behalf of the APC Legacy Group. He asserted that the purview of such discussions should be confined to APC members and stakeholders in the specific municipality.

Moreover, Barrister Ekpo emphasized that the APC Legacy Group harbors no grievances with the state chairman of APC, Barrister Alphonsus Eba. He underlined that the group has no bone to pick with the leadership in Calabar Municipality.

His words, “I’m the state chairman of APC legacy group, Barr. Eyo Nsa Ekpo, I have come across a statement by comrade Iso Edim, purportedly on behalf of APC Legacy Group.

“Now the issue is that while we are not against their discussions about the happenings in APC in Calabar Municipality, the statement was issued on behalf of APC Legacy Group.

“I think it is strictly within the purview of APC members and stakeholders in APC Calabar Municipality. Legacy Group does not have any issues with APC in Calabar Municipality and we don’t have any issues with the state chairman of APC, Barr. Alphonsus Eba. The APC Legacy Group has no bones whatsoever to pick with the state chairman of APC, Barr. Alphonsus Eba.

Continuing Ekpo disclosed that, “The statement issued by Comr. Iso Bassey Edim is strictly in his personal capacity as a chieftain of the APC in Calabar Municipality and not on behalf of APC Legacy Group. I as chairman did not authorise him to issue such a statement.”
