Eyoanwan Otu Launches 2024 Girls in STEM Reunion Boot Camp Across Cross River

Calabar, Cross River — Rev. (Mrs.) Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, the Wife of the Governor of Cross River state, is set to empower girls with a keen interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through the 2024 Girls in STEM Reunion Boot Camp NEGROIDHAVEN can report.

Building on the success of previous initiatives that equipped over three thousand girls across the three Senatorial Districts of Cross River with foundational STEM skills, this year’s boot camp aims to refresh and expand those skills, preparing participants for new opportunities in the rapidly evolving STEM fields.

According to Guru Foundation a technology cluster in the state, a highlight of the boot camp will be the offering of scholarships to the best-performing girls who achieve outstanding SSCE results and demonstrate a clear intention to pursue careers in STEM. This scholarship initiative underscores the commitment of Rev. Otu to fostering educational excellence and bridging the technology gap among female students in the state.

Parents are encouraged to seize this life-changing opportunity by ensuring their daughters participate in the boot camp. The program, which spans three weeks, will be held in each of the three Senatorial Districts, with each district hosting the camp for one week.

The boot camp will be facilitated by the Guru Innovation Hub, a leading center for technological advancement and innovation in the region.
