The rally, which took place at the Ikom Township Stadium in Ikom on Saturday, drew party supporters, political leaders and stakeholders from across the state who gathered to demonstrate support for the president and the governor.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Peter Odey, said the state was prepared to deliver massive electoral support for Tinubu in the next general elections.

Odey said the mobilisation of supporters was part of efforts to strengthen the party’s structure and expand voter participation across the state.

According to him, the state aims to deliver about three million votes for the president in the 2027 presidential election.

“In the last election, Cross River state gave the president about one hundred and thirty thousand votes. But this time around we want to make a statement. We are going to give three million votes to our president,” he said.

The deputy governor also called on supporters to mobilise residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, noting that voter registration would be crucial to achieving the party’s electoral target.

He further urged party members to maintain unity, stressing that political disagreements among aspirants within the party would be resolved through dialogue.

Also speaking, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Emmanuel Ironbar, said the Prince Is Coming Movement was founded on grassroots mobilisation and collective political engagement.

Ironbar explained that the movement was conceived in 2020 as a strategic platform to mobilise support for the governor and promote inclusive political participation across communities in the state.

He said the movement grew stronger through sustained grassroots engagement and played a significant role in the political developments that led to the emergence of Otu as governor in 2023.

Similarly, the Executive Director of the South South Development Commission and Coordinator of Renewed Hope in Cross River State, Soni Abang, described Tinubu as a leader prepared to address Nigeria’s challenges.

Abang said the administration had initiated policies and infrastructure projects aimed at repositioning the country’s economy and improving national development.

He urged party supporters to remain committed to the political mobilisation process, noting that campaigns would intensify after party primaries.

The rally formed part of activities by the Prince Is Coming Movement to mobilise political support for Tinubu and Otu ahead of future electoral contests.
