A political support group, Prince Is Coming Movement, has announced plans to mobilise about 1.5 million supporters in a mass rally in Cross River state to publicly endorse Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Bassey Edet Otu NEGROIDHAVEN can report.
The group made the disclosure during a press conference held in Calabar, where its leaders said the planned march is intended to demonstrate widespread grassroots support for the two leaders under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Addressing journalists, the convener of the movement, Emmanuel Ironbar (who doubles as chief of staff to governor Bassey Otu), said the rally—described as a “1.5 million man-march endorsement”—will bring together supporters from across the 18 local government areas of the state. According to him, the mobilisation is part of ongoing efforts by the group to consolidate political backing for the administration of President Tinubu and Governor Otu.
The organisers noted that the march will serve as a public show of solidarity with the leadership of the APC at both the national and state levels, particularly highlighting what they described as ongoing reforms and development initiatives.
They maintained that the movement, which operates as a political mobilisation platform within the ruling party, is committed to expanding grassroots participation and strengthening the party’s support base ahead of future political engagements.
According to the organisers, preparations are already underway to coordinate supporters, youth groups and community stakeholders expected to participate in the planned rally in Ikom on Saturday.
At the press briefing, members of the movement appeared in branded shirts and caps bearing campaign messages and images associated with the endorsement drive. A large banner displayed behind the speakers carried the inscription announcing the proposed “1.5 million endorsement man-march” for President Tinubu and Governor Otu.
The group said further details regarding the route and logistics of the rally would be communicated in due course.
The proposed mobilisation comes amid ongoing political activities within the All Progressives Congress in Cross River state as various groups continue to organise support initiatives for party leaders.
