CALABAR — A support group, Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), Cross River state chapter, has distributed relief items to members of the Muslim community in Nasarawa area of the state to mark the end of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr NEGROIDHAVEN has garnered.
The items were presented during a visit by the group to the community on Friday as Muslims concluded the month-long fasting period.
Speaking during the event, the Cross River Chairman of RTIFN, Engr. Anjor Obande, said the gesture was aimed at identifying with the Muslim faithful and promoting unity among residents of the state.
He urged communities in the state to support the administration of Cross River state Governor, Bassey Otu, as well as the Federal Government led by Bola Tinubu.
Also speaking, the Deputy Coordinator of the group, Hon. Stanley Nsemo, called on residents to support government programmes at both the state and national levels.
Obande also appreciated the Mayor of Calabar, James Anam, and others who attended the event.
The event was attended by the Sarkin of Nasarawa, Alhaji Sani Baba Gombe, who thanked the group for the support extended to the Muslim community.
He offered prayers for the leadership of the group and called for continued peaceful coexistence among residents of the state.
The visit formed part of activities marking the end of Ramadan fasting and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr among Muslims in the state.
