Political thugs opened up fire on Governor Amaechi's convoy on Thursday, 26th of March as he went for a political rally in Obi Akpor area in Rivers State.
The thugs reportedly attacked the governor's convoy with stones and bottle before setting up bonfires to obstruct his movement out of the town. As the convoy found a way of escape, the thugs reportedly shot at the vehicles.
Two young men associated with the APC were injured in the attack.
