A medical Doctor, Dr. Samuel Amaechi have been abducted by unknown Gunmen in Rivers State.
The dare devils allegedly shot and killed his Police orderly in the process.
The incident occurred on Thursday evening, close to His residence in Orazi, Obio /Akpor Local Government Area in the state capital.
Dr Amaechi is until his death the Medical Director of Nobsam’s Clinic, Oginigba, Trans – Amadi, Port Harcourt.
In addition to this unfortunate incidence, the State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has expressed worry over the incessant abduction of her members.
In an interview with journalists, the State Chairman of the association, Dr. Furo Green, pointed out regrettably, that another colleague, Dr Chimezie iwunze, was also kudnapped Last week in Bori, khana Local Government Area.
The Chairman of the Association therefore employ all Security agencies to come to their rescue and ensure the safety of all medical practitioners in the State.
He further informed that there have been no news about the whereabouts of those abducted as he also appealed for their unconditional release.
In a related development, one week after the Caretaker Commitee chairman of Ahoada East Local Government, Cassidy Ikegbidi, was kidnapped, his whereabouts remains unknown. Moreover, the kidnappers have not contacted the family.
