Prior to the return leg against visiting Porto, Pep Guardiola was optimistic about his side progression to the Semi final. He was definitely certain it was going to rain in Munich. This all about the goals that came like the rattle of a gun with 502 passes and 430 completed for Bayern as the game was already finalised in the first half. It took Bayern just 40 mins of play to diffuse the tension and turn the table around. On the score sheet for Bayern are; Thiago Alcantara, Jerome Boateng with a header, two goals from Lewandowski,  and a deflected shot from Thomas Muller in the first half killed the hopes for Porto with a classic display from Bayern. Xabi Alonso made it six second half into play and late on the game Jackson Martinez scored a consolation goal for Porto and late on the game Xabi Alonso made it six by curling in a late free kick to end the game 6-1 aggregate. Bayern stormed into their fourth straight Semi- final. And it was a good record for the 44 year old Pep Guardiola as he has not failed to reach the semi-final of the competition in six campaigns. Bayern progression made it their fourth semi-final in a row.
On the other end in Camp Nuo, the game ended 2-0 in favour of Barca who were hard to contain. It was the 50th game in charge of the 44 year old Luis Enrique the former Spain international who played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona and Barca are still on course for a treble this season. Neymar scored his double in the first half of the game to take his tally to 30th goal of the season in all competition. It all ended 5-1 aggregate in favour of Barcelona.
