A Policemen in Taraba State have killed in cold blood an innocent trailer driver and his assistant for blatantly refusing to give him a 500 naira bribe at a roadblock.
According to our source, the roadblock was mounted on the Jalingo-Wukari Road.
Negroidhaven gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday night somewhere around Wukari. The said policeman was reported to have shot the duo without mercy!
Other trailer drivers on hearing the incidence took to a protest, blocking the road, and chanting for a revenge for the death of their member and also supposing that the long arm of the law would come to their aide and catch up with the culprit.
However, all efforts made by operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps to clear the road was said to have proven abortive .
