I must commend Governor Ayade for giving out an executive order for the immediate repairs of bad roads in Calabar ahead of the Carnival Calabar.

It can be recalled that Calabar has been visited with a wide range of potholes across the metropolis. But with this gesture, it shows that the governor is determined to move the State forward.

Dr. Myles Munroe, said, "A principled leader can walk into a room of people and change the whole environment just by being there".

Governor Ayade is one of such charismatic leaders that can change the environment of his people by mere entering an environment. Listening to him brings joy to his people. He is always giving his people hope and assurance. That is how a leader should lead his people.

I must also commend him on the repairs of the Calabar-Itu road. In the last one month, the people of CRS have suffered a lot on that road. Spending many hours on that road without a solution. It takes only a leader with a good heart to come to the aid of his people when they need him most.

Dr. Myles Munroe said, "The nations of the world do not lack people in leadership positions. They lack genuine leadership in their leaders."

With a man like Ayade, we shall consolidate, we shall emancipate our people from mental slavery. From hunger and thirst. His ideas are apt and he is a man driven by vision, birthed by conviction, and guided by passion for the service of his people.

We have to work with him, we have to support him, we have to pray for him and contribute on ways how the State can move forward.

Martin Luther King Jr., said, "If we are to move forward, we must go back and rediscover these precious values, that all reality hinges on moral foundations and that all reality has a spiritual control".

We must build our foundation today, we must prepare the foundation of our children. CRS must rise up to civil liberty. We must reawaken our conscious mind that we need to shun hate, and lack of love for one another in order to  move our State forward. It is our collective responsibility to work for the greater good of CRS.

We must understand that Governor Ayade can not liberate CRS all alone. We must support him and criticize where necessary. Constructive criticism is healthy for any democracy. It helps to reshape leaders. But in criticizing, we must back our criticism with facts and ideas for no man knows it all.

We have to respect Governor Ayade, the Book of Kings opines that we should respect our leaders. Leaders are ordained from God alone. Good or bad! God alone gives leadership. My people, we must support him. We must support him in order to achieve our our goal of a better CRS.  I get pained when I see people using foul language on the person of the Governor. Reducing the position of the office of Governor without remorse.  We must respect the oath of arm behind his office. He is our leader today for our destiny is tied towards Cross River's destiny.

As a person, I welcome criticism. I like people criticizing, but when criticizing it should be concrete and for the good of our State.

Dr. Myles Munroe said, "Our critics can be among our greatest assets, because criticism always puts our character on trial for its authenticity and shows us the true state of our thoughts and attitudes".

Let's join hands in moving CRS forward. Our people in our remote villages need us. We must use our intellectual prowess for the collective good of our people and not to destroy our system. Use your intellects to proffer solutions and ideas that would change the fortunes of our people and State.

God bless!
