Professor Zana Akpagu, the new Vice Chancellor of University of Calabar, has announced Dr Uti Egbai as the new Director, University of Calabar's Centere for General Studies (GSS). His appointment is to take effect from the 1st of December 2015. He is to take over from Dr. Chike Okpara and conduct exams for the second semester in a few weeks.
Dr. Uti Egbai is a Doctor of Philosophy of Science who hails from the southern senatorial district of Cross River State, precisely of Umon in Baise LGA. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy of the University of Calabar.
Dr. Egbai is a member of a group of young academics "The Academy" who was a key player in the
realization of the 'Zana Akpagu project' of becoming the new Vice Chancellor of the prestigious academic institution.
