As the yuletide mood switches to overdrive this week, I'm rather concerned at the more frequent use of 'Xmas' in the stead of 'Christmas' or let me make it easier, the replacement of 'Christ' with the letter 'X'.

This may not mean so much until you realize that everyone in the high places wants to have very little to do with Christ so it's more about 'Protecting the rights of the minority' when you use X.

This is a clear indication that the world wants to have very little to do with Christ, so although they
celebrate 'his birth' they'd rather make him X.

That's OK. But I get worried when even Christians do the same thing. For example, 'I am a Xtian' isn't
the same thing like 'I'm a Christian', it has never been and will never be.

While you're trying to save your credit in your SMS please remember that we're celebrating Christ not X
(whatever that means).

In mathematics, x will represent an unknown variable. The Jesus we celebrate is known. Please next time make it a merry Christmas not a
merry Xmas.
