The Governor of Cross River State, Sen Prof. Ayade Benedict is working. He is a man who keeps to his promise.
He had made mention that Obudu and it's suburb areas would enjoy electricity during the festive period. I am proud to announce to the People of Cross River State that Governor Ayade has kept to his promise. He has not only electrified Obama Urban, he has made sure that every village in Obudu enjoys electricity.
The Governor, in making Obudu an urban center and in bringing out the beauty of the town decided to provide Street lights at Obudu. Today, Obudu is a town to behold.
It takes a man who has a vision to
achieve in such a short time in Office as Governor, even when the State is experiencing a lot of economic crunch, Governor Ayade is performing.
Let me also use this medium to thank the able and vibrant Commissioner for Power, Hon Timmy Tom for his doggedness in making sure that the lost
glory of Obudu is restored. It only takes a man who is ideological and people oriented to achieve in such a short period of time. I have no doubt in my heart that Governor Ayade is going to succeed in the days ahead in providing electricity in every village, town and community in CRS, with a powerful and
articulate man like Hon Timmy Tom as
Commissioner for Power.
The people of CRS have the responsibility of supporting Governor Ben Ayade. He is a man who means well for CRS. He is a man who all he thinks
about is how he can make a difference. He is always talking about how he can change the State from a civil service State to an industrialized State.
So, with the power projects going in the State, it is now evident that Prof. Ben Ayade has come to make a difference. He has come to put smiles on the
faces of his people. My people, the hope of moving CRS forward lies with Governor Ben Ayade. I call on Cross Riverbank to support Governor Ben Ayade in order for him to take the State to the next level of our developmental
drive.
