On the 26th of January 2016, I made a publication titled: 'CATACLYSMIC HOUSE: Member Representing Boki I in CRSHA at Logger Head with the Leadership of the House', in which it was noted that Hon. Hillary Bisong of Boki II constituency in Cross River State House of Assembly(CRSHA) was perceived to be embroiled in a scuffle with the leadership of the state legislative body.
The next day being 27 January, Cross River Watch, a leading news outfit in Cross River confirmed my suspicion by reporting that a notice of impeachment had been served on Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo, the Honourable Speaker of the House by the Honourable member representing Boki II requesting Lebo to resign or face impeachment on the basis of 13 alleged acts of gross misconduct. It was reported by this media house that the leadership of the PDP at the state level was wading into the case.
On the 31st of January 2016, this is what the Speaker of the CRSHA said on his Facebook time line around 12:35am: 'When the devil says you can't withstand the storm, the warrior from within replies, I am the Storm'. By this statement, Rt. Hon. Lebo, who must have slept late as a result of Bisong's moves, affirmed that he was certainly rattled by Hon. Bisong's critical gesture to show him the way out of the leadership of the legislative body. However, the present author is confused as to what Lebo means by 'I am the storm'. Here, he is expressing the sentiment of his almightiness in CRSHA. But, as I noted earlier, the leadership of his PDP was said to have wade in to quell the storm. So, who is the storm, is it Lebo or the PDP-CRS? The reader should decipher.
From this point onwards, especially from the day before, the Speaker decided to embark on a hot spree of derogatory remarks via his ally and aides.
One Elemi Lebo, obviously a relative of the Rt. Hon. said this on 30th January:
'If i hear, if i hear impeachment again eeh, you will know what stuff i am made of. Wunna well?'
On her part, Jessica Gaul responded thus: 'Why? No man can touch , He who God has bless…. don't forget people will always want their name to be famous in the little way they can'.
Elemi Lebo further replies: 'cenima no carry the effect were acting the move the carry, make we no enter action movie o'.
On Egbe James Egbe-Ibi had this to say:
'Say person keep quiet no mean say e no know wetin to do… If you hear again. Show dem. Nonsekebowoles like dem'.
The above statement suggest quite strongly that Hon. Hillary Bisong is certainly their target. Albeit, Lebo may actually be an overriding storm far superseding Bisong.
