In continuation of the state wide monitoring of Measles Immunization Exercise, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Health & Primary Health, Dr. (Mrs.)Betta Edu visited Abi, Yakurr and Obubra Local Government Area during the weekend.
The monitoring is part of strategies by the S.A to ensure the state meet the 100% set target for the exercise. Her media aide, Charles Ekanem, explains that 'the state is not just targeting 100% coverage but we are interested in making sure all children between 9 months and 5 years of age are immunized in CRS'.
She was happy with the level of work done by health workers and confidently said, 'CRS, as at today, has recorded 112% coverage'.
