*Inconclusive National Electoral Commission – INEC

When is it appropriate to sack a non-performing head of a government institution like INEC?

An institution which previous strides in the conduct of elections though not perfect, but had won renown accolades should not be allowed to be subjected to this kind of inefficiency and gross ineffectiveness by a serious government!

The time to sack the leadership of INEC is now! It must not be allowed to carry on like this for too long less the government sends the wrong signal especially during Edo and Ekiti State elections in the coming months or even the 2019 general elections.

Time is ticking…Tick…! Tock…! Tick…! Tock…!

Kennedy Nsan
21 March 2016

The above statement is attributed to Kennedy Nsan, a Cross Riverian, formerly an influential student activist but presently a university don.

Nsan is joining his voice to already existing voices who are calling for the outright sack of INEC Chairman. This is evidently connected to the Saturday 19 March 2016 Rivers State rerun elections where results in about 7 local government areas gave been declared to be inconclusive.

Yesterday, I published Okoi Obono-Obla's 'Why a State Of Emergency should be Declared in Rivers State' and another similar reaction by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce: RIVERS RERUN: Nigeria's Common Sense Senator Slams INEC http://www.negroidhaven.org/2016/03/rivers-rerun-nigerias-common-sense.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

In fact, Nsan converted INEC from Independent National Electoral Commission to Inconclusive National Electoral Commission.
