Cross River State's Commissioner for Information Communication Technology (ICT), Chief Offu Aya, yesterday visited the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB) Computer Based Test (CBT) Center at University of Calabar, Calabar.
The tour which was made in view of assessing the level of effectiveness of the center as well as appraise the challenges currently being faced by the center was made in company of other management staff of the Ministry of ICT.
According to an inside source in the ministry, the visit by the public official and his team was prompted by the fact that majority of those who have enrolled for JAMB examinations this year, who would be using the center are of Cross River State origin. The Commissioner opted to offer assistance to the center especially in technical areas of networking, etc.
Also, this news outfit has reliably garnered that the hitherto moribund Cross River State website, www.crossriverstate.gov.ng/ has been restored and is working optimally.
