News reaching us from the Operation Room shows the state has performed above board in the ongoing National Immunization Plus Days exercise.

The Special Adviser on Community and Primary Health care Dr. (Mrs.) Betta Edu in her proactive nature has combed nooks and crannies of the state especially the hard to reach areas to ensure the state meets the 100 percent target of immunising every eligible child in this exercise.

She has also been chairing the evening review meetings at the state level to ensure that she recieves full debriefing from the field and swings into action to fill identified gaps. Also present at the evening review meetings are the World Health Organization State Coordinator, Zonal Coordinator of UNICEF and NPHCDA. Director, Primary Health, State Immunisation Officer, State Cold Chain Officer, Members of the State Operation Room, state facilitators etc.

In the words of our amiable Governor, Sen.(Prof.) Ben Ayade, "CRS is not giving so much into revitalising the health sector because we have enough, but we are giving because we care enough for our people"
