The office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community and Primary Healthcare who was recently upgraded to Director General, Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency (CRSPHCDA), Dr. (Mrs.) Betta Edu received 3,000 sachet of ORS and 700 packets of Zincfant drugs. This was in response to a proposal submitted by the DG CRSPHCDA calling on UNICEF to support the steps already taken by the state government to contain the Diarrhoea outbreak in Cross River State.
Receiving the items from Mr Charles Nzuki, Chief of Field Office, UNICEF Enugu, Dr. Edu thanked UNICEF for their support and rapid response, assuring them of Senator (Prof) Ben Ayade's resolve to provide quality health care to the people.
She equally highlighted the steps already taken by the government of CRS and the positive results noted especially in Yakurr were the Diarrhoea disease out break has been fully controlled.
Responding, UNICEF Representative thanked the government of Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for always being proactive on health issues and even more when it concerns the children of CRS. He encouraged the DG to keep up the good works.
