Yesterday 1st of May 2016 will remain a historical Workers' Day celebration in Cross River State especially in Ministry of Health as jubilant workers who, surprisingly were receiving notifications of payment of their salaries from their respective banks for the month of May, where seen to be hysterically cheering the indefatigable Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mrs. Inyang Asibong.

Your guess could be strong as mine, why were the jubilant workers seen to be cheering the health boss? From information which Negroid Haven could reliably garner at the venue of the celebration, it's said that Commissioner Asibong is the first ever 'Commissioner to join labor during the parade and march pass', according to a source. Besides, she is reported to excellently maintain peaceful and cordial relationship between labour and the government. It was in view of this that National Association of Nigerian Nurses And Midwives named her 'most friendly Labour Commissioner for Health'.

And true to type, the labour friendly Commissioner pledged, during an interview with the press to maintain cordial relationship with labour and vowed to resist disharmony with labour since the governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, is the Labour-friendly  Governor.

The Commissioner employed the opportunity to intimate labour of CRSG intention to, on the 6th of May, treat workers to free medical treatments at the Governor's Office, Calabar, as a way of commiserating May Day 2016.
