Unconfirmed reports reports reaching Negroidhaven.org suggest that the counsel to Governor Ben Ayade in the suit ongoing between Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade and Barr. Joe Agi SAN in the which Agi is challenging the former's eligibility to be the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 general elections in Cross River State has withdrawn from the case in a frantic bid to buy more time and delay judgement at the Supreme Court of Justice, Nigeria.

This information is coming from no mean a citizen than Cross River State revered whistle blower, cerebral public policy analyst and indefatigable environmental activist, Ifere Paul. Read for yourself how Paul present the story yesterday on his social media account:

Updates: Joe Agi vs Ben Ayade

In a bid to delay and perhaps truncate justice, Governor Ben Ayade lead counsel Paul Erokoro (SAN) withdraws from the case.

The new lawyer then begged for time to study the case.  But in a twist of events, the Supreme Court upheld Joe Agi's position that the case has suffered so much delays already.

Attempt by Ayade's legal team to secure extension of time to enable their new lead counsel study their case file was denied by the Supreme Court today.

They were advised instead to submit their brief immediately, something they hurriedly did.

More updates as they come in.

Could this be the beginning of the end to the Ayade dynasty in Cross River State? Only time will tell.
