Stamford bridge which was regarded as a fortress in the era of Jose Mourinho taking over at the helm of affairs 2004 has become a breeding ground for teams struggling for relegation.

The same Jose Mourinho in his second stint in charge of his third season, saw that bridge crashing before his very eyes as he was left clueless on what to do to revamp the players. It led to his dismissal on a mutual consent for the benefit of the team, the club and his reputation.

The Roman soldier Abrahimovich is willing not to allow the repeat of a disastrous season befall his club again. Which saw them not qualifying for Champions and failing to win any silverware last season.

Here comes the Italian, Antonio Conte the disciplinarian as regarded by people who has been with him and worked with him, recently regarded as been very focus and disciplined by Carlo Anceloti.

Chelsea`s chief scout, Pioet de Visser, is quoted as having remarked that Roman Abramovich is desperate to avoid a repeat of just concluded season, commenting,

"Chelsea will have a very busy summer. Abramovich is desperate not to have another terrible season."

Since taking over the owners helm at Stamford Bridge, Roman has ploughed £2 billion into the club and although de Visser has indicated the incoming head-coach, Antonio Conte, will be handed something akin to a blank cheque, de Visser has re-iterated that Roman Abramovich wants to promote from within, with the chief scout further adding,

"Mr Abramovich had to pay an absolute fortune to get players like Didier Drogba and Michael Essien.

It will definitely take a huge offer for a renowned player to come to Chelsea knowing fully well of missing out on the Uefa Champions League.
