Mid way into last week the good people of Aningeje in Akamkpa LGA of Cross River acknowledged government presence by way of the provision of a Primary Health Care Center to the community.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Inyang Asibong, in company with other principal staff of her ministry including
Director of Administration, Director of Finance, Internal Auditor, Director of Procurement, Director of Clinical Governance, Staff of Ministry of International Development Cooperation and the UNFPA Team commissioned the renovated project.
The renovation of the Aningeje Primary Health Care Center initiated by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, was duly supported by UNFPA.
Commissioner Asibong while inspecting newly renovated PHC center observed that, 'The provision of this Primary Health Care Center is in line with the Minister for Health's declaration of 10,000 PHCs in the country and one functional PHC per ward'.
