2. National Security Adviser, NSA
Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (Retired), is the NSA; he hails from Borno State, Northern Nigeria.
3. Director of the Department of State Security Service, DSS
Lawal Daura, is the head of the DSS. Daura is from Daura, Buhari’s hometown in Kastina State, Northern Nigeria.
4. Chief of Army Staff
Major General Tukur Buratai, is the Chief of Army Staff. He hails from Borno State, Northern Nigeria.
5. Comptroller General of Custom
Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Retired) is the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service. Ali is from Bauchi State, Northern Nigeria.
6. Comptroller General of Immigration
Mohammed Babandede is from Jigawa State, Northern Nigeria, was recently appointed as the Acting Comptroller General of Immigration.

With this latest appointment, it is perceived that Nigeria's 6th democratically elected President, Muhammadu Buhari, has finally invested the entire security infrastructure of the federal republic in just a section of the country.
