NOTHING CAN BE THE SAME
(For James ”Jimmy” Aniyom: RIP)

My eyes are filled with tears
And all your friends are shocked with fear.
We stand motionless,
Consumed in grief,
As sorrow has arrived,
With the smile of a thief.

We have lost more than a friend –
And all the future moments
We were planning to spend.
My thoughts and feelings,
Have multiplied by infinity
And my sorrow and pain
Are hard to explain.

All your friends can never mourn enough,
Accepting your death will be sombre and tough.
We will always remember you and what you meant,
And cherish our memories, through the years that we spent..

Before I could sound the gong,
You were already gone
And already standing at Heaven’s pearly gate.
Now God has called upon you,
It's time to get your wings.
To leave this life behind you,
And enjoy all of Heaven’s beautiful things.
Live above the clouds, sun and stars
And way beyond the moon;
The day the Angels come for any of your friends,
Please be there to take them home.

We promise to cherish our memories of you.
You shall live in our minds and all that we do.
For having you in our lives,
We have all been blessed.
But, now the time has arrived,
For you, Jimmy, to take rest.
Someday, we will meet on Heaven’s Golden shore,
Where my tears shall flow no more.
