In the stillness of the night,
I will wake and pray,
Wishing I could weave poetry,
Like all the great poets of yore!

I'll turn to my muse,
The timeless goddess of poetry,
show me how to weave poetry,
Like great shakespeare once did.

I love the tip of my pen to drip,
Strong words of power and emotion,
In rhymes and rhythms,
Like Wordsworth will always do.

I'll cry, I'll sob, I'll plead,
for baptism of a poet's aptitude,
So I can weave poetry beautifully,
Just like Eddy Eko will do.

Like a child waiting eagerly,
For a mother who has gone to market before dawn,
Is my craving for a poet's ability.
