Lately the new politics in town is the act of trampling upon another man to be elevated, throwing mud at others for selfish gains, a lot has been said about the person and character of Barr
Paul Ishabor, but here is to the best of my knowledge, what I can testify anytime any day about Bar Ishabor.
As a Christian, to Barr Ishabor the conscience remains an open wound only the truth can heal, the other day in a group discussion, one of Governor Ayade's personal aide raised an abusive
attack on the character and person of Madam Rita Agbor Ayim, as a person it didn't go down well with me, I did giggle a frown and intended to walk away, to my greatest amazement when the attention of Barr Ishabor was drown to this ugly scenario, he reacted and his responds stole my moment, he quarreled and scolded this supposed governor's personal aid who have been
claiming on several occasions how he made madam Rita Chairman and Paul Adinye Chapter Chairman not minding if he was going to lose support from the self acclaimed king maker, in his words he said "where madam Rita is today is not by a stroke of luck, it is as a result of hard work and consistency, it is bad morals for anybody to boast in public how he made madam Rita who she is". I have known Barr Ishabor for over 5year
but by that singular response and admonition he got my admiration.
As a unionist, Barr Ishabor performed absolutely well when he was president of National Association of Ogoja Students between 2001 and 2002, his records and achievements are very
commendable, because of his achievements he was later elevated and elected president of National Association of Northern Cross River State Students between 2003 to 2004 after which he graduated and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005, he started his legal practice in 2007 with the Cross River State Ministry of Justice and was
deployed to Investment Promotion in 2009, where he functioned effectively as the Investment Promotion Manager.
His capacity is undoubted, as Investment Promotion Manager has been involved in the attraction and facilitation of major business entry
into CRS:
-he was a key player in the attraction of Willmar International Investment to the State
-General Electric $1bn Multi-media Manufacturing and Training Facility
-the much celebrated Spar Group Investment in a world Class Shopping Mall
He was also involved in the conceptualization and implementation of the 2.5bn Naira Soghai Farms
Initiative, the Cross River State Micro Finance and Development Agency and the CBN Entrepreneurship Development Center.
His exposure, he is not only locally breded, he has a vast level of exposure, he joined the Cross River State team that went to Mumbai, New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Turkey, India and many other countries all in a bid to curry foreign investors to our dear state.
His Political Views, as a Fine Breed Entrepreneur
Barr Ishabor is Anti believe of politics as an occupation,in one of our discussions before the 2015 senatorial election primaries he scolded the youth, stating clearly that only lazy people venture into politics for an occupation, he does
not conform to thuggery as part of politics, he has always used his popularity and love by the youths
to advance victory for the PDP since 2003 to date.
His Social Life
Barr Ishabor is void of sentiment and bias, he is detribalised, his best friend is not an Nkum man, he has reached out greatly to youths dozens of them are working with various companies today courtesy of Barr Ishabor.
