Eworo Bright Etim hails from Ano-Ikan ward of Anong-bahumono village in Abi Local Government Area, central senatorial district of Cross River State. Nigeria. He had his Secondary Education in Community Secondary School Anong from 2001 to 2007.

In 2008, he sat for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination with the aspiration of Studying Water Resources Engineering in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and also also applied to Study Water Resources Engineering in the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in same 2008 but failed to secure admission in these instances.

In 2011, once again applied to get admission into the Nigeria Defence Academy, but this second trial was still fraught with failure.

Late 2011, he decided to take a travel away from home to visit his elder brother in Lagos. While he was in Lagos, he met a young man on a street who expressed his dissatisfaction with the frustration admission seekers get from Nigerian Universities. Sequel to meeting the necessary requirements, was given an admission letter and a visa from the Russian Embassy in Nigeria to study in  Kazan National Research Technological University.

According to Edward Ntebri Egbelo of Government House press, 'In Russia, his initial choice was to study Petrochemical Engineering, but after his one year compulsory language studies 2011-2012, he went to the office of the dean of international affairs of the university for registration into year one to study petroleum engineering, but the dean asked him why most Africans and Nigerians prefer studying Petroleum Engineering? And his answer was "maybe it's because Africa is blessed with lots of Petroleum and gas". The dean then offered him a sit and advised him to opt for another course. He sticked to the dean's advice and decided to enrolled into the faculty of polymers to study "Technology ,designing, printing and packaging processing engineering".

His first year was a tough one for him considering the language constraint, environmental stress, age and the fact that he was the only black in his faculty, and for these reasons he was unable to make "A" or "B" during his 1st and 2nd semester exams, but with some useful advice from his faculty's dean and head of department as well his personal determination and self discipline to excel in his field of concentration, he decided to press harder.
