Negroidhaven.org has reliably garnered that the Chairman, BoT of NGO Coalition for Environment (NGOCE)and former Chairman of Cross River State Forestry Commission, Chief Odigha Odigha has again been invited by the Police at Diamond Hill, Calabar. This is as a result of his continued campaign on the need for the Cross River State Government to conduct a proper and participatory EIA (Environmental Impact Accessment) as well as adequately compensate the affected communities along the superhighway path.

According to their social media mouthpiece, Ngo Ngoce, 'The State Government has continued to harass and intimidate him in the name of allegation of fraud during his tenure as Chairman, Cross River State Forestry Commission'.

'If the government has any concrete evidence against him, he should be charged to a court of competent jurisdiction and not court of public opinion. The public is hereby requested to call the state government to order', it concluded.

It will be recalled that Chief Odigha last week outlined four conditions the state government must meet before he supports the ill-fated superhighway to include:
'1. Withdraw the revocation of the 20 km wide strip of land through Cross River State.
2. Immediately stop bulldozing until a comprehensive, transparent & participatory EIA has been carried out.
3. Carry out extensive consultation with all stakeholders on the proposed project.
4. Offer significant compensation to all individuals & affected communities'.
