The Spanish striker scored two goals each both half in the annihilation of  Liechtenstein, World cup qualifier match. The match ended 8-0 with with seven of the goals coming from second half.

The controversial striker have previously scored just once in his last 11 games for Spain, and was drop at the just concluded Euros where Spain crashed out to Italy at the quarterfinals.

Diego Costa has reckon the support of new coach Julen Lopetegui and his team mates as he said; "I could never complain about my teammates. I have to give them my thanks for how they've always supported me and never let me throw in the towel.

"Criticism is normal because more is always asked of international players."

The La Roja striker has also scored two goals for his club Chelsea in three games so far, which has seen him restore back his confidence and goal scoring instinct.

Spain next game is a trip to Italy, same opponent that knock them out of just concluded Euros.
