Obudu, Cross River-born social commentator, Simon Utsu, has made a satirical criticism against the governing All Progressive Congress (APC). The witty commentator highlighted what he referred to as a caveat in one of the electoral promises of the APC during the 2015 presidential campaign.

The campaign has to do with the proposition, 'We will create 3 million jobs in one year'. For commentator Utsu, this was a 'very intelligent political promise' in that the APC didn't say we will create 3 million jobs in every single year; that is to say, the caveat is embedded in the phrase, 'in one year'. What an observation!

'They were making very intelligent political promises here and there and you guys fell… In the attached picture which so many have been quoting, they said "We will create 3 million jobs in one year". See, they didn't tell you guys that they'll create 3 million jobs every single year, the carefully concealed caveat is, "in one year", Utsu noted in his own words.

Commentator Utsu however couldn't end his observation by submitting a smash home criticism and indicting prediction when he finally noted that, 'So in 2019, prior to the elections, if they are able to empower 3 million thugs nationwide to help them coast to victory, they've fulfilled that campaign promise as far as I'm concerned'. Hmmmmm! Can anyone deny Utsu of a hilarious slur in his statements?

For Utsu, the APC especially as led by President Muhammadu Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo in this first tenure will never fulfill the campaign promise of revitalising a comatose economy. This pessimism may extend to addressing insecurity head-on and crusading against corruption.
