Mrs Aisha Buhari, the wife of the president of the Federal republic has been criticized by a powerful league of Women from Adamawa state.

The group, which comprises of  Adamawa League of Women Empowerment, spoke out their stand as it regards Aisha's controversial BBC interview which saw her fronted criticism against her husband's style of politics.

According to our source, the Adamawa league of women empowerment jettisoned her action on the media, described it as unwarranted, immoral and a slap on the trado- ethical code of Pula-aku- the virtues of modesty and decorum which foundational to the fulbe (fulani) tribe.

According to our correspondence, the group showed thier embitterness about the issue  during a press conference held in Yola, the Adamawa State Capital.

According to Maryam Ibrahim, the spokesperson for the women group, She purported that Aisha Buhari's BBC interview was counter productive and that She only succeeded in exposing her husband,  Pres. Muhammadu Buhari to more attacks from opponents.

In her words as culled from Daily Trust, she argued thus:

"… we unanimously condemned Mrs Aisha Buhari's BBC interview because it is ill-timed, counter-productive and was done in bad taste.

Consequently, Mrs Aisha Buhari's action negate the spirit of Pula'aku, modesty and decorum which are virtues of fulbe (Fulani).

Continuing, she contends:

"However, we would like to use this forum to re-iterate our total support and cooperation to President Muhammadu Buhari in his effort to restore the lost glory of Nigeria as a giant of Africa".
