BREAKING: Gov.Udom Emmanuel fears Death, Aides Wounded, Others Buried Alive as Church Building Collapses on Pastor’s Ordination .


Nelson A.Osuala [10 December 2016] Credible information reaching our news desk has it that tragedy has occurred in a church building Collapse in Akwa Ibom State. What was meant to be a joyous Celebration and Ordination ceremony turned into a nightmare filled with Sorrow as lives were buried under the Church building Collapse. The unfortunate incident have left many dead while others are severely injured. According to an eyewitness report, Governor Udom Emmanuel a special guest at the occasion,  who  arrived minutes late before the Building Collapse was said to have escaped death at the whiskers. NHB garnered that the tragedy occurred today Saturday at the Reigners Bible Church located along Uyo village Road,leading to loss of lives of the worshippers who were buried under the debris.
According to another witness,  "the ugly incident occurred about 11,:00am, just few minutes after his Excellency and his entourage entered inside the church building". According to our correspondence, 'Gov. Udom Emmanuel was supposed to be a special guest at the ordination of the founder of the Church, one  pastor Akan Weeks as bishop'. In the same vein, an eyewitness informed that Emergency units and rescue Operations are combing the Scene of the Incident for survivors as we speak. However, these emergency ambulances were spotted along barracks Road at about 12:30pm carrying some of the wounded victims and heading towards the State's specialist hospital at Itam. No one is yet to ascertain the governor’s health condition as some rumours have it that he was not exactly physically present when the building collapsed. Other rumours say he was badly wounded and have thus being rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. As at press time, the death toll from the Church building Collapse have continued to rise but specific number have not yet been disclosed.
