Credible information reaching our news desk has it that a "3-in-1" bomb explosion occurred early this morning near a crowded motor park in Madagali local Government area of Adamawa state.
An eyewitness(name withheld) told our correspondence that the bomb went off near a police check point. In his words "the blast occurred near a checkpoint at the entrance of the town"
Another witness told our correspondence that,
"We heard three blasts near the checkpoint where people gathered to be screened before entering the town as you know today is market day".
“The suicide bombers blew themselves up alongside the two vigilante members that approached them,”.
The state police command have littered the area wading off anyone to ensure their security.
As at press time, no case of death has been reported yet even though some persons were injured; Casualty figure is yet to be determined.
The Chairman of Madagali Local Government, Alhaji Yusuf Mohammed, also confirmed the incident but said he could not give details because he was not in town.
For him, “I was outside the town for an official engagement but I was called and informed about the incident. That is all I can tell you for now,”he said.
