The Chinese League with its spending spree and cash flow is gaining popularity, competition, and awareness as it is currently attracting big names to the shores of Asia.

Chelsea’s Brazilian midfielder Oscar, was sold for £60m to Chinese side Shanghai SIPG and Mikel Obi followed suite to the another Chinese club.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher describes Oscar’s deal as embarassing, which could be well correct to describe it as such. Money has solely been a motivation for Oscar who earns £400k weekly, only Carlos Tevez earns more with £600k, as they are both currently the World’s highest paid players. Oscar who featured for his new side for the first time, scored on his debut for a friendly match versus Saudi Arabian Premier League side Al Batin this week. And he admits money was too good to turn down.

During his interview with Sky Sports, Oscar spoke about his transfer: ‘The transfer was good for me, good for Chelsea, good for Shanghai, and I’m so happy to come to the Chinese Super League.

‘I think the Chinese clubs [spend] a lot of money for the players to go to China, to make the league stronger. They made me an offer and I’m very happy to come.

‘They have lots of good projects. Of course the Premier League [has higher] level of players in the world, but the Chinese guys are very good. They help the new players a lot, and I hope they continue this because I come to help.’

It could be proven Oscar is totally wrong, as an approach for the Ballon D’Or and Fifa Best Player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo rejects a move to China for a lucrative offer of over £20m a year deal.
