There's been this rumour that's making the rounds that the best the government of Cross River State has done in respect of the outbreak of Lassa Fever in the state is to only distribute expired drugs to those quarantined.
However, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr Inyang Asibong, has debunked such information to be mere rumours. According to the press release Commissioner Inyang has said that, 'the entire state health team and other relevant stakeholders are on top of the matter as there have been daily meetings every evening since the outbreak to monitor the progress of these contacts and guard against any outbreak'.
152 contacts are under supervision the press release further added.
