Raliya Suleiman, pictured above is a female child in Junior Government Secondary School, Kachai, who unfortunately lost her right eye to the carelessness and the unbridled cane of her teacher.
According to our source, she was allegedly flogged in the eye by one of her teachers, Moses Aura, as a disciplinary action for coming late to school on that fateful day, to wit, February 23rd.
NHB garnered that her teacher's stroke of the Cane mistakenly hit her right eye when as she was serving her own punishment for lateness to school that morning.
All efforts to remedy the situation proved abortive as medical experts affirmed that the damage was severe and that her eyesight was irredeemable.
Laying credence to a statement by the victim's Uncle, Mr Sani Abubakar, who confirmed that:
"Raliya was late for school that fateful day, 23rd February, 2017 and the teacher, Moses Aura asked her and many others to kneel down and wait for him.
When he came back, he started beating her and the cane hit her right eye.
She was rushed to the National Eye Center, Kaduna, unfortunately, they said the water in the eye had drained out and there was nothing they could do to salvage the eye”.
As at press time, we cannot ascertain whether the suspect has been arrested and charged to Court.
However, it is worrisome that this young girl has now become a victim of circumstance cum the carelessness of one teacher so called!.
What a misery! what a scar being left behind? Oh, This is Sad indeed!
