His Excellency Professor Ben Ayade recently went to visit FaithPlant a company involved in Quarrying business in Akamkpa/Biase.
It could be recalled that the CRSG absurdly took Faith Plant to court last year over the incomplete rehabilitation work on the road at Iwuru 2, Biase Local Government Area. This was supposed to be a voluntary contribution to the community development of the state.
Faith Plant was sanctioned and taken to court by the Cross River State Government, CRSG because according to the State Government the project was not properly implemented.
According to reports, the Cross River State Commissioner for Works, Engr Dane Osim-Asu stated that; Faith Plant should have awarded the contract for him to execute.
Meanwhile, Faith Plant told news reporters that, the state through the Commissioner for Works should have been the one to offer them contract and not the other way round. The Manager of Faith Plant also lamented that, the company was only doing a volunteering work, since the cry of commuters had been ringing inside their ears.
The reason behind the visit of Governor Ayade to the Faith Plant complex isn't known. However, since the workers had been on strike  the visit was seen by critics as a welcome escape from the office.
