Robbers Kill Businessman in Calabar

There was pandemonium on Monday evening at Chamley/Bassey Duke Street when armed robbers shot and killed a businessman, Augustine of JoeKate company after raiding his shop.
An eye witness narrated to our reporter that the businessman was in his shop where he sells lubricants : ATF, engine oil and grease at about 5 pm when the robbers, two of them stormed his shop to cart away the sales proceed from the sales girls and on their way out snatched the man gsm handset and in effort to get his phone back, he went after them and one of them shot in the stomach while the other shot into the air.
The boys were two and after they had taken the money from the sales girls, they snatched the man’s phone and he went after them towards the dustbin and one of them shot into the air while the other shut him in the stomach”. The eye witness  said. 
He said boys parked their gat away car at Target/Palm street and after the shut the man, they sped off leaving the man to bleed.
When our reporter visited the scene patches of blood were seen splashed around the dust bin area while passenger seat of the Peugeot 504 wagon where the man was taken into after he was shut was covered in thick blood.
He was rushed to the General Hospital along Mary Slessor Avenue where he reportedly died on the way 
“The boys have been terrorising  us here everyday I wonder what is going on” . One of the traders said.
