Princewill Odidi, an Atlanta-based international development expert, has advised aspiring politicians gunning for the ‘Office of Governor of Cross River State’ to be patient until 2019 general election NegroidHaven can report authoritatively.
The political scientist made this known yesterday via his Facebook account in reaction to what he claimed he read. For Odidi, a situation where an incumbent of a public office barely completed two years, isn’t the right time for a serious aspirant to declare intention publicly. Excerpt:

‘I read some politicians aspiring to take over CRS when the incumbent barely completed 2 years.

‘Wait until 2019, no vacancy yet. If you love CRS so much help the incumbent to succeed. No serious aspirant will openly declare now.’, he continued.

Odidi further implied that while there’s still time before 2019, any move to express political aspiration publicly tantamount to distraction which he cautioned against.
His words, ‘Politically, two years is a long time. Stop the distraction’.
However, Mr Odidi did not tell us where he gleaned his information from. Again, he has not identified which aspirant he is particularly referring to. Acclaimed social change agent, Joseph Odok, on the 22nd of June did mention eight gubernatorial aspirants, namely,
i. Godwin Jedy-Agba
ii. Ben Ayade
iii. Emmanuel Undie (Eau Ad)
iv. Bassey Otu
v. Ubi Etowa
vi. Peter Ikwen
vii. John Upan Odey and
viii. Paul Odey.
Who could Odidi be particularly referring to? NegroidHaven is still watching.
