Saw a young friend of mine some weeks ago around Watt Market, I asked where she's coming from; she told me that she just finished from a 'prayer house' around Edibe Edibe-Edibe (Calabar South). I was surprised, because this girl is 21; marriage hustle is not yet on her agenda; she graduated some months back with a sound grade; her family is doing well; she's multi-talented; I asked her if she has HIV, she showed me a negative result she got some days earlier; I asked if any of her loved ones is passing through challenges, she said no.  She told me that she needs spiritual guardians, I immediately abandoned the conversation because of the personalize nature of religious matters.
Nothing has grown in Nigeria since the turn of the century like 'prayer houses', there can give the betting joints a good run. After human parts were found inside one of them in Calabar South yesterday, I am sure some of you would treat such places with caution.
There is hardly a problem in your life that you are not empowered by God to solve, most especially with combination of sound counselling by a professional or your regular Church Pastor. Stop going to places that you don't understand what is happening there; marriage comes naturally for a girl with good character & 'street smartness'; career enhancement comes with hard work and access to the right information; even the holy books didn't say a woman must be married; even HIV/Diabetes can be managed.
Trust me, the items found in the Pastor's altar are not displayed during Church Service (in fact, an attendee confirm this today) —So, the other 'prayer house' you do visit might have their own "Server Room" as well. Millions of Nigerian Christians visit their regular church and top-up with prayer houses session during the week.
Stop playing "Nairabet" with your destiny; don't go to a place that the power there is not of God!
