Inyali Peter, a post-graduate degree holder of Mass Communication with a bias in Public Relations has, Wednesday, distanced himself from the goofing media aides of President Muhammadu Buhari on the basis that they aren't public relations expert but mere journalists NegroidHaven can report.
Peter explained that the 'rat story' that greeted the airwaves about two days ago portend a bad omen. In fact, Peter, who is an apologist of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) observed that the recent Aso Rock rat saga was indefensible as such he couldn't put up a defense for it.
His words, 'I can't defend the indefensible. The rat story is a very bad omen for the President Buhari APC led government. This has further given credence to my claims that the President's PR machineries are very very bad.'
Peter said that the duo of Femi Adeshina and Garba Shehu don't talk like they know their jobs.
In his words, President Buhari, 'surrounds himself with Journalists instead of Public Relations experts. Not every good writer or good journalist is a good PR person and not every good PR person is a good journalist. His advisers must advice him well.
'In all the TV interviews I've watched Garba and Femi, they have not really impressed me. They don't talk like they know their jobs or how to market the President.
'It would have been better to simply defend the President's reason for working from home using the constitution than this rat story. There's no law that forbids the President from working from home. He can work from anywhere.
'They would have easily said 'What is important is that the President is back and working and has not breached any law. However, his decision to work from home is just for the moment but I can assure you that he's working very well'. As simple as ABC than to come and tell us of rat. Wetin happen? The narrative would have changed to purely a constitutional matter.'
Peter, alleging that Buhari's media handlers are demarketing him, has suggested that they be relieved of their appointments, 'Garba Shehu, Femi Adesina and others are demarketing the President and APC. Buhari seriously needs to drop some of these guys and recruit more competent people'.
But, come to think of it —is there anything to defend in the present administration in the centre? It seems to me that the declaration by Peter —'I can't defend the indefensible', has far more reaching implications for the APC-led Federal Government beyond the rodent story. What do you think, please?
