The Cross River State chapter of the Young Democratic Party is holding her elective state-wide convention on the 7th of October 2017 NegroidHaven can report authoritatively.
According to the Chairman of YDP's Convention Planning Committee, Cross River State, Comr Odey Friday, the elective convention is aimed at filling vacant 34 Executive Council offices including State Chairman, etc.
3 Lock Horns for State Chairmanship Office
Information made available to NegroidHaven suggests that three Nigerians have locked horns for the coveted office of State Chairman of YDP in Cross River State. They are: Comr Eteng Edet Eteng of Yakurr LGA in Central Senatorial District, Comr John Ogar of Obudu LGA in Northern Senatorial District and Comr Grant Emu of Calabar South in Southern Senatorial District.
No Zoning?
Of the 34 offices to be gunned for, the Comr Friday Odey-chaired Convention committee has left 7 floating including:
*State Chairman
*State Deputy Chairman
*State Secretary
*State Youth Leader
*State Woman Leader
*Assistant Publicity Secretary and
*Assistant Organising Secretary.
Implying that 27 offices are zoned. The formula is such that 9 are 'ceded' evenly across the three Senatorial Districts.
The National Chairperson of the YDP, Barr Aye Georgina; the National Secretary of YDP, Hon Bolaji Oni and the South South Coordinator of YDP Naingba Ebiere are billed to be present at the occasion.
