Two unidentified alleged University of Calabar students have confessed to involving in internet fraud solely for purchasing iPhones during the Christmas celebration this year NegroidHaven can report.
The duo who claimed that they were students of Public Administration in the University of Calabar, claimed to engage in cyber crime because of getting iPhones for use during the yuletide.
According to Journalist George Odok Jnr, 'The two students, who said they belong to the department of Public Administration, confessed that they went into internet fraud in other to gather money to buy two iPhones for use during the Christmas celebration in Calabar.
'The students, who impersonated on their Facebook pages as being Army Colonel and Major, had earlier duped their client in the tune of N400,000 before their arrest. While been paraded before newsmen at the state police command, the students blamed the devil for the act.
'Anyways, the students are cooling their ass right inside the police cell'.
In another development, the Cross River State police command yesterday paraded 72 robbery, murder, kidnapped and raped suspects with over 100 fire-arms recovered from them.
Hmmm! The rate of youth involvement in crime is alarming. The reasons are even demeaning of the human person especially those referred to in this report.
