Prof Eyo Etim Nyong celebrates yuletide with APC C/River

Professor Eyo Etim Nyong, former gubernatorial candidate in Cross River State and pioneer NDDC board member, Monday, paid a courtesy visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) state secretariat in Calabar, Cross River capital to celebrate the yuletide with party faithfuls NegroidHaven has learnt.  
In his remarks, Nyong said he was at the state secretariat of the party to say thank you to the party executives who have kept faith with the party despite the challenges the party is facing in the state, he appreciated them for holding on together despite the diversification of interest that almost ruined the great party. 
His words, ‘I want to thank the party for always acknowledging and recognising me as a stakeholder of this party, the EXCO have demonstrated this through invitations to attend vital meetings and functions of the party as well as keeping me abreast of happenings in the party. This has shown that the party is genuine and vibrant’, he said. 

The professor of petroleum geology also intimated the party that he has come here to identify with the party and will also be having audiences with all the 18 LGA chapter chairmen whom he believes are very instrumental to the success of the party. 
High point of the visit was the presentation of Christmas package from Professor Nyong to the state executive, he said the package was for the season’s celebration and to assist in taking care of the secretariat. 
In his response, the Cross River state Chairman of the APC, Sir Ochala John welcomed those present for coming despite the short notice sent out. 
‘We were happy and delitghted when we heard about prof’s visit because we know what the prof. stands for.’ The chairman said.   
‘This visit by Prof has just kick started the activities for 2019. The prof is here to thank you for all you have done in making sure the party is still united and strong despite the fact we have less than 100 days in office. 
The chairman said it is unarguably true that prof. Nyong is a stalwart of the party, and an extraordinary leader who has paid his dues judiciously in the party. 
He admonished the professor to always make himself available at the secretariat to offer and receive advice where necessary.  
‘You are  always welcome to the secretariat anytime, any day. We need more of your visits so we can exchange ideas and advice that will enable us achieve our ultimate goal of ousting Ayade come 2019’, the state chairman concluded
Earlier on, while introducing Prof. Nyong, Barr. Joe Oloko said Prof. Nyong is a  man who believes the party is supreme, thus his visit to the state Executive of the party to celebrate this festive season with them.

the state Leader/Chairman of the party in Cross River State, Sir John Ochala, 
State Secretary, Mr. Victor Ebong, state Treasurer, Hon. Mike Abge, the Publicity Secretary, the Director of Welfare, Hon Ikenga, Chairman of Chairmen Southern Senatorial district and chapter chairman of Biase LGA Edodi, Acting Chairman of Akampka, Fred Ntui and many others.
