Members of the Core Implementation Team of the AYADECARE recently had a roundtable discussion with Honorable Commissioner for Health and other development partners in the State to give a rundown of activities leading to the takeoff of the State Health Insurance Scheme, and also show their level of preparedness. The members who took turns to speak showed signs of readiness to start the enrolment proper.
In related news, Dr. Inyang Asibong also made welcome the representatives of Health Strategy Delivery Foundation (HSDF) from Abuja as they gave highlights of their achievements in the past year and also outlined some of the challenges they are fazed with.
The representatives also took turns to express their readiness to the Commissioner as they look forward to another successful year working with the Ministry. They seized the opportunity to introduce Mr. Emmanuel Effa as the new State Program Supervisor.
Responding to all, the Commissioner made no mistakes in spelling out the commitment of the Government to ensure the smooth running of the scheme. She thanked all the partners particularly HFG who are the implementing partners and the CIT for all their support and the show of commitment thus far.
'I want to assure you that the Government of Sen. (Prof) Ben Ayade is committed to ensuring that Cross Riverians get access to quality and affordable healthcare, and this is one way of achieving this. I want to use this opportunity to say thank you to everyone – HFG and the CIT, and HSDF – for their commitment and support' she said.
Meanwhile, all is now set for the March 2018 statewide Measles campaign following the successful training of trainers for the event. The event which is scheduled to hold in two phases will see these trainers conduct a cascade training across the state before the March 1st official kickoff date.
