25 February 2018
At about noon on Saturday the 24th of February, 2018 dare devil young men displayed their militancy outside the barrack in the Dr. Dean axis of Calabar South LGA.
Information gathered within the said area from a local business vendor has it that the Klan's confraternity and the Baggars set up a show down of battle royale in operation code name "show of supremacy".
This ugly scenario stem out from a funeral obsequies that was ongoing in Ekpenyong Ekpe's street off Dr. Dean. Reliable information has it that one of the sons of the deceased is a member of one of the cult group and as expected when Karma strike, a rival cult group struck during the funeral in reprisal of action sometime ago, this was a payback.
What a great way to honour a parent that a group one entered happily is bringing pains, hardship and fear to you and others?
And so it happened that the attack led to the dead of one Nkanu a.k.a. "Pepper", also leaving another with permanent scars of a broken head and losing an eye as well. What a way to be rewarded in a game you happily became a member.
As at the moment of filing this report, no law enforcement agent was in sight. Though normalcy had returned to the once troubled area of Dr. Dean and the adjoining streets, people are however treading with caution as no one knows when and what could happen next.
So far, the water has been troubled, the outcome will play out as usual in days to come.
